BABALWA NGONYAMA Chief Executive Officer
Babalwa Ngonyama is the CEO of Constant Capital (SA). Prior to joining Constant Capital she was the Chief Financial Officer of Safika Holdings (Pty) Ltd. She sits on the boards and audit committees of Implats Ltd and Barloworld Ltd. She also sits on the board and chairs the audit committee of Evraz Highveld Steel Ltd. She was the Group Chief Internal Auditor of Nedbank Ltd.
Babalwa is a former audit partner in Deloitte’s Financial Institutions Services Team (FIST) division. (She qualified as a chartered accountant in 1999.) She was chairperson of Deloitte’s Transformation Advisory Board and also the transformation champion for FIST, where she was responsible for setting transformation strategies and the monitoring their effective implementation.
She was the founding chairman of the African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA), an organization focusing on accelerating the development of woman chartered accountants; she is currently a member of its advisory board.
