Brenda Madumise is the Chairperson of the National Home Builders Registration Council appointed in May 2012. She is an admitted and non-practising advocate who holds a BProc;
LLB and Post Graduate Diploma in International Trade Law (University of the Witwatersrand)
and an MBA (Bond University).
She boasts extensive experience across the field, having worked for government and the
private sector in various capacities, pioneering policies for gender equality, telecommunications,
broadcasting, mining and constitutional development.
She also serves on several boards including the JSE-listed Hospitality Property Fund, Transaction Capital, Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) and City Parks (City of
Johannesburg), while being chairperson of SALT Employee Benefits, chairperson of the Railway Safety Regulator, chairperson of CATHSSETA, chairperson of IZIKO Museums.
She runs a female-led investment company that focuses on mining, PPPs, financial services and hospitality. She also consults on various business aspects, including but not limited to corporate governance and also owns female clothing brand Lyric fashion.
